Social Media Ad
This video is a social media ad that promotes the Reese's pieces product to teens.
For my social media advertisement, I chose to promote Reese's pieces. My target audience is youth ages 13 and up. Thirteen year olds are in their puberty stages and exploring their identity. Typically, thirteen year olds like to listen to music, watch movies, and spend time on social media. My intention with the Reese's pieces ad is to make it fun to watch, as well as communicate the message through images and type. 
I had some challenges with what I wanted my overall theme to be since Reese's has so many products and so many options. You can see that in my mood board, displayed above, I was brainstorming amongst the seasons and holidays surrounding Spring. Originally, I bought Reese's thins, Reese's king cups, and Reese's pieces. Once I opened the pack of Reese's pieces, I realized that I can make a bunch of different shapes using just the three colors available. I started to make shapes and take photos with my iPhone 12 camera preset to the square ratio (1:1). I had thoughts of the Spring season in my head as I was creating different floral and circular shapes.
The images I used for the social media ad are in my mood board along with the color palette. There is also a YouTube video that I used for inspiration based on previously released Reese's pieces commercials. I had lots of fun playing around with the effects, transitions, and placement of the images within each frame. This video was created using Canva Pro. I used the fonts and audio that are provided in Canva.
